Tottenham Hotspur cruised to a 3-0 win over London rivals West Ham United on Saturday.

Goals from Pape Matar Sarr, Lucas Bergvall and Micky van de Ven earned Spurs an impressive victory at The London Stadium, moving Thomas Frank’s side up to second place in the Premier League table.

The Lilywhites have now won three of their four league games so far this term, and Frank will likely be pleased with his side’s start to the campaign.

Now, it has emerged that the north London outfit are interested in a former Chelsea star.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes via GiveMeSport, Tottenham are chasing Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher ahead of the January transfer window.

The report claims that Spurs ‘insist’ on signing the England international when the transfer window reopens, with the north London side currently showing the keenest interest in the 25-year-old.

Gallagher was a product of Chelsea’s fruitful youth academy and played 95 times for the club at senior level, before joining Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2024.

He has since featured 54 times for Diego Simeone’s side across all competitions, but it appears that Spurs are keen to lure the midfielder back to the Premier League in the new year.

Fellow Premier League side Manchester United were said to have been in talks over a move for Gallagher, before negotiations fell through.

Spurs are now said to have entered the race for the Englishman, who is under contract in the Spanish capital until the end of the 2028/29 season.

It is claimed that Frank and those in charge of Tottenham’s recruitment believe Gallagher – who has played 21 times for England – could be an ideal addition to his squad.
