Tottenham Hotspur predicted XI vs Chelsea: Mourinho to make changes after RB Leipzig defeat

Mourinho as always been a fan of Aaron Ramsey.

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to face Chelsea in a crucial Premier League match.

Jose Mourinho takes his Spurs side back to the club he guided to three Premier League titles in two different spells as both eye Champions League football next term.

The Portuguese boss, who goes head-to-head with his ex-player Frank Lampard, will be looking for his side to bounce back after their 1-0 Champions League defeat to RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

In the Premier League, Tottenham are undefeated in four, winning their last three, and know another victory will take them above their hosts.

But a setback against a rival at this stage of the season could be fatal in their challenge, especially with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min sidelined.

So which players will Mourinho task with the challenge of winning at Stamford Bridge? Here we predict the Spurs boss’ XI…

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris is the undisputed number 1 at Spurs and will continue to lead from the back after an impressive display in the 1-0 defeat against RB Leipzig in midweek.

Defenders: This could well be a case of one game too many for Ben Davies after recently returning from injury, meaning Japhet Tanganga is expected to come in at left-back. Elsewhere, Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez will probably continue in their roles.

Midfielders: Tanguy Ndombele wasn’t fit enough to start in midweek but after getting 25 minutes he could well come into contention to start at Chelsea. Elsewhere, we feel Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso will also keep their places after another solid display in midweek.

Forwards: With Harry Kane and Son Heung-min both sidelined, Mourinho’s options in attack are limited. He started with Dele Alli, Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn against Leipzig. However, after Dele’s angry reaction to being substituted, Erik Lamela could be preferred to start this vital match.

Predicted XI: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Tanganga; Lo Celso, Ndombele, Winks; Lamela, Lucas, Bergwijn.
