Mourinho as always been a fan of Aaron Ramsey.

Tottenham Hotspur’s predicted XI: We predict Jose Mourinho’s starting XI as they return to action against Manchester United in the Premier League.

Spurs go up against United this evening, as both teams return to action following the extended Coronavirus break which halted the Premier League for 100 days.

The games is significant for both clubs in many ways. Not only does it see Spurs boss Jose Mourinho face-up against his former team for the second time, it is also significant in the race for the Champions League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side managed to beat Spurs 2-1 in the previous fixture at Old Trafford, which saw Mourinho fall to his first defeat as Tottenham boss.

With nine league games remaining Mournho’s men sit four points behind tonight’s opponents and a further three behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

So which Tottenham players will be tasked with the challenge of getting back to a winning start tonight. Here we predict Mourinho’s XI…

Goalkeeper: Following a nasty elbow injury earlier in the season, Spurs’ number one Hugo Lloris returned to football before lockdown and will be expected to start tonight.

Defenders: It’s quite clear that Mourinho doesn’t know what his best back four is. In the past, the Portuguese manager has been reluctant to rotate his back four, but has done quite the opposite with Spurs. We think Mourinho will go with a back five of Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Ben Davies.

Midfielders: Giovani Lo Celso was performing well back in March and is likely to stay in the Tottenham midfield. The Argentina international has seen a resurgence in form under Mourinho after struggling for game time under former manager Mauricio Pochettino. With Dele Ali suspended, Eric Dier could be deployed alongside Moussa Sissoko.

Forwards: After suffering terribly with injuries earlier this year, the Coronavirus delay has allowed Tottenham’s injured players to make a full recovery and are ready for selection. With this in mind, Mourinho is likely to opt for goal machine Harry Kane upfront with Heung-min Son.

Predicted XI: Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies; Giovani Lo Celso, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko; Harry Kane, Heung-min Son
