Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a £20 million bid for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, according to the Sun.
The England international’s contract talks with the Premier League champions are understood to have stalled, which has alerted a number of the Foxes’ top-flight rivals, including Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
The 26-year-old was a key part of the City side that won the title by 10 points last season, but the former Manchester United youth product is yet to commit his long-term future to the outfit from the east Midlands, who are said to have prioritised sorting out the futures of the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez first.
Meanwhile, Pochettino is still looking to strengthen his team following their qualification for the Champions League group stages, but Leicester will be reluctant to get Drinkwater go, especially having already seen his central midfield partner N’Golo Kante depart for Chelsea last month.
