Tottenham are reportedly set to renew their interest in signing Spain international ace Isco during the forthcoming January transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who currently sit fifth in the English top-flight standings following their 1-1 draw at home to defending league champions Leicester City at White Hart Lane at the weekend, have been linked with an audacious loan move for Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder.

The 24-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country, has scored two goals and provided two assists in nine appearances in all competitions for the La Liga leaders so far this season.

Isco, who has in fact started five of Madrid’s last six games, is yet to receive a new contract offer, despite his current deal approaching its final 18 months.

Premier League rivals Chelsea are also said to be interested in the Spaniard’s services, if Madrid decide to sell, although Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs are lining up a loan move in the New Year.
