Tottenham Hotspur take on Southampton in an FA Cup Fourth Round replay in North London on Wednesday night.
The two sides need to face-off again after a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s in late January in which Sofiane Boufal’s late equaliser cancelled out Heung-min’s second-half opener.
Jose Mourinho’s side go into this encounter on a high after beating champions Manchester City in front of their own fans on Sunday.
With the FA Cup alongside the Champions League, Spurs’ only two remaining opportunities to win a trophy, their Portuguese boss is sure to field a strong XI.
But which players will be tasked with the challenge of getting through to the next round? Here we predict Mourinho’s XI for Wednesday’s encounter…..
Goalkeeper: Since returning last month, Spurs have yet to taste defeat with Hugo Lloris back between the sticks and he will hope to continue that trend on Wednesday.
Defenders: After a strong showing and a clean sheet against Man City, we’re expecting Jose to pick the same back-four of Serge Aurier, Japhet Tanganga, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez.
Midfielders: Giovani Lo Celso is really showing why he was brought to the club in the summer and why Spurs have now made that permanent with a string of eye-catching displays. The Argentine will be aiming to produce once again in a midfield we think will include Harry Winks and the now fit-again Tanguy Ndombele, especially with Dele Alli a doubt.
Forwards: Steven Bergwijn scored on his debut against City but is ineligible for this cup tie, meaning Mourinho has little choice but to choose a front-three consisting of Erik Lamela, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura.
Predicted XI:Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Tanganga; Winks, Lo Celso, Ndombele; Son, Lamela, Lucas.
