England international midfielder Dele Alli has put pen to paper on a new six-year deal with Tottenham.

The 20-year-old, who has 13 international caps for the Three Lions and featured for his country during this summer’s 2016 European Championships in France, has extended his stay with the Premier League outfit until at least 2020.

Alli, who arrived at White Hart Lane from League One outfit Milton Keynes Dons back in February 2015, has scored one goal and provided one assist in six appearances in all competitions so far this season – setting up striker Harry Kane for the only goal of the game in Sunday’s 1-0 league win over Sunderland.

The Milton Keynes-born star, who has now netted 11 goals and set up 12 strikes in 52 games in all competitions for Spurs since joining Mauricio Pochettino’s side, told the club’s official Twitter account, “I remember when I was young and I wasn’t playing football and I was looking up to the footballers and looking on the websites and seeing what they were doing.

“I’m still the same kid as I always have been and nothing’s changed for me off the pitch – I’m still the same person.”

Alli added, “It’s been good. I’m happy to be here and playing at Tottenham.

“Personally, I can’t think of anywhere better, with the fans, the manager we’ve got here and the young team – it’s a great place to be.”
