Tottenham target Ghoulam snubs Napoli deal

With the Premier League title race all but over after Tottenham’s loss to London rivals West Ham last week and Chelsea subsequent win over Middlesbrough, it’s time for those at White Hart Lane to start turning their thoughts towards the summer.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been lauded for the way in which he has nurtured his young squad into the force they are today, however, the former Southampton boss could well be set to lose some key men this summer.

With Danny Rose having been linked with a move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, reports from Spain (via Sport Witness) are linking Pochettino with a move for Napoli full-back Faouzi Ghoulam.

Furthermore, the Spurs boss has been handed a significant boost should he pursue a deal, with the 26-year-old having recently snubbed an improved contract offer from the Serie A side.

The Algerian international is currently rated at around €20m and thus would be a significant move for Spurs as they consider the financial restraints of their impending stadium move.
