Tottenham face Liverpool in Saturday’s early kick-off, in what will be Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge of the Reds.

Liverpool have started the season in mediocre fashion, sitting in 10th with 12 points from eight games. However, with only six points between them and the top, and with a new lease of life being spread into the team after the German’s arrival, it seems as though this season has some promise after all.

As for Spurs, they sit two places above the Reds in eighth, having gained 13 points from eight games. Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his side can pull away from their visitors and compete for the fourth Champions League place, which looks well up for grabs.

We’ve put together a combined XI of the two teams……

GK: Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)

Many would consider Lloris as the best goalkeeper in the Premier League, with his fine shot stopping abilities and reflex saves. It is a surprise that the Frenchman is still at Tottenham, with no Champions League football and bigger clubs keeping a watchful eye. But his strong mentality and leadership qualities makes it no surprise he has been named the club’s captain, and he’ll be hoping for a more successful season this time round.
