Tottenham are considering a late transfer window move for Man City outcast, Eliaquim Mangala, which could lead to the club letting Austrian centre-half, Kevin Wimmer leave, according to ESPN.

The French international has looked set for the door marked ‘Exit’ at The Etihad since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, and has been left out of every match day squad thus far this season.

The 25-year-old, who is also a target for Serie A side, Napoli, made the move to Manchester from Porto in 2014 for a mammoth fee of £32m, but has been unable to rise to the challenege of playing for the twice Premier League champions, and has never cemented himself in the starting XI.

The former Standard Leige defender could make a loan switch to White Hart Lane, with the view to making the deal permanent in the future, should everything go according to plan for Mauricio Pochettino.

As per ESPN’s report, any deal for the 6’1″ central defender could see Spurs’ 21-year-old Kevin Wimmer leave the club having, like his Man City counterpart, been left out of match day squads by the Argentine manager so far this season.
