Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Harry Kane could return to the squad for next weekend’s North London derby away to arch-rivals Arsenal.

The Premier League side, who currently sit fifth in the English top-flight standings, one point behind joint-leaders Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal, face the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, November 6.

During today’s press conference, ahead of Tottenham’s home clash against defending league champions Leicester City on Saturday, boss Pochettino is hopeful the England international can play a part.

“It’s difficult to know but we’ll see,” he said.

“His evolution is great. Maybe for Sunday, perhaps the Champions League.

“Frustrated is a word we don’t use here. Both (Kane and Toby Alderweireld) are positive.

“Of course they want to be back playing quickly – not least because we push them hard in training. Injured players have it much tougher than the fit ones.”

Kane has been out of action since September after damaging ankle ligaments.
