Transfer Talk: 3 players Arsenal have been linked with this week

Arsenal crashed out of the Europa League against Olympiacos last month but an upturn in their domestic form still sees them in with a slim chance of Champions League qualification.

Away from the Premier League, Mikel Arteta’s side face an FA Cup quarter-final against Sheffield United as the Gunners look to end a three-year wait for a trophy.

As well as on the pitch matters, the Spaniard will also have half an eye on his summer recruitment plans.

Arsenal signed Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares on loan in January but have been linked with numerous names ahead of this summer transfer window.

But who are those players the Gunners could possibly make a move for? We take a look at three names to have been linked with a potential switch to the Emirates…

Donyell Malen

According to Le10 Sport, Arsenal are keen on re-signing PSV Eindhoven striker Donyell Malen.

The Dutchman failed to make the grade at the Emirates but has struck 17 goals this season in which he has also become a full international.

However, after selling him for £500,000 in 2017,  it’s claimed the North London side would need to pay in the region of £48million to bring him back to the Emirates.

As well as his goalscoring exploits – which saw him net all five in the 5-0 win over Vitesse in September – the 21-year-old also has nine assists to his name.

Ben White

Next, and Football Insider report that Arsenal are keen on recruiting Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ben White.

The 22-year-old has impressed in a season-long loan at Championship promotion contenders Leeds United, playing in all 37 league matches to date this term.

And with Mikel Arteta reportedly in the market for a centre-back it’s claimed the Gunners are exploring the possibility of swooping for the Englishman.

However, they may face competition with Liverpool, Manchester United and Leicester City also thought to be interested.

Marcel Sabitzer

Italian outlet to CalcioMercato report that the Gunners are weighing up a move for RB Leipzig star Marcel Sabitzer.

The 25-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions for the entertaining German outfit this term, most notably scoring twice to help dump Spurs out of the Champions League.

It’s claimed those performances from the Austria international have attracted interest from Arsenal.

However, in the spirit of North London rivalry, it’s also thought Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham are keen on the forward after his displays against them.
