Liverpool are having as close to a perfect season as possible so far in 2019/20.

The Reds, who have won the European Super Cup and Club World Cup, are 14 points clear at the top of the Premier League having won 20 and drawn one of their 21 matches to date as they look set to win their first league title since 1990.

Despite having a squad full of consistent performers, Jurgen Klopp added Takumi Minamino from Red Bull Salzburg at the start of the month.

And, if reports are to be believed, the Merseyside outfit may not be completely done with transfers this month.

But which players – if any – could the runaway Premier League leaders move for?

Here’s three names the Anfield side have been linked with over the past seven days…

Sandro Tonali

According to SportItalia (via Football Italia), Liverpool are keeping tabs on Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, dubbed ‘the new Andrea Pirlo’.

The 19-year-old has impressed for the Serie A side and was rewarded with his first three caps for the Italy national team last year.

And it’s claimed the teenager’s performances have caught the eye of the Premier League leaders along with Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp currently has a number of options in midfield so it will be interesting to see whether or not he opts to make a move for a player valued at £42million.

Kai Havertz

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo report that Klopp is plotting a club-record £107million bid for fellow German Kai Havertz.

The midfielder made his debut for Bayer Leverkusen at the age of 17 and has since become the club’s star player, registering 17 Bundesliga goals last term.

It’s claimed the 20-year-old, who has racked up 126 appearances for Bayer and is a regular in the Germany squad, would be a replacement for Adam Lallana, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

A bid of £107million would eclipse the Merseyside’s previous record transfer – £75million they paid Southampton for Virgil van Dijk in January 2018.

Henri Kumwenda

Football Insider claim that Liverpool are one of three Premier League clubs eyeing a move for Leeds United starlet Henri Kumwenda.

The 18-year-old has yet to sign a professional deal at Elland Road which has attracted interest from the top-tier.

It’s reported that Liverpool along with Arsenal and Manchester City are all ready to swoop if the striker fails to agree a terms with Leeds.

The Merseyside outfit have added young talents Joe Hardy, Harvey Elliott, Sepp van den Berg over the past six months so they certainly have an eye on the future.
