On Saturday; somehow, Burnley escaped The Theatre of Dreams with a share of the spoils after impressively surviving an onslaught of strikes to draw 0-0 at Manchester United.
The Red Devils registered 37 shots throughout the Premier League encounter, but they simply could not beat former United goalkeeper Tom Heaton in the Clarets goal, who was rightly named man of the match.
A third stalemate in their last four league outings has seen Jose Mourinho’s side slip down to eighth in the top-flight standings, already seven points shy of fourth-placed Chelsea, and eight behind joint-leaders and arch-rivals Manchester City.
So, after somehow not netting against the newly promoted outfit on Saturday, here is how Manchester United fans reacted on Twitter to their side’s day to forget in front of goal.
One fan bemoaned the misses from striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic…
Imagine if Zlatan scored the header against Liverpool, the one on one against Stoke and the sitter against Burnley. 7 points gone. #mufc

Huge loss of points in their aim to top the table…
The draw against Stoke n Burnley feel like a defeat. We should have got 6 points but only got 2. #MUFC

This man was optimistic! Despite just watching the highlights…
Finally seen the Burnley highlights. Amazing that we didn’t score but at least we created chances. Hopefully just an unlucky day! #mufc

Despite having Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford in their ranks, Liz wants more fire power up front…
United need fire power up front. It was really lacking during the Burnley game. Chances created but no one to finish ?. #SSFootball #MUFC

When in doubt, blame the result on the referee…
Just seen the United v Burnley highlights, we was full on robbed, should of had 2 penalties. Clattenburg was awful. #MUFC

And despite another draw, manager Jose Mourinho even got a comparison to the legendary Six Alex Ferguson! Sort of…
Cannot believe the handwringing over Mou and yesterday. Battered Burnley in a way we have not seen since Fergie. Give him time #MUFC
