Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to both Inter Milan and AC Milan earlier this summer as the Portuguese looked to secure a move away from Old Trafford, according to reports.

As reported by Tancredi Palmeri via The Sun, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was offered to the two Italian sides, but both clubs rejected the chance to sign the 37-year-old.

Ronaldo is desperate to depart Old Trafford before the window shuts at the start of September as he looks to secure Champions League football during the final stages of his career.

Ronaldo is keen on a move away from Manchester United

The player has told United about his plans, and sat down with Erik ten Hag at the club’s Carrington training ground when he returned for pre-season training last month.

The likes of Chelsea, Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with a move for the Portugal international, but so far no club have shown an interest in signing him.

Ronaldo scored 24 goals in 38 matches last season on his return to Manchester, but is unhappy with the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
