Chelsea star Nathaniel Chalobah impressed his England senior team-mates by scoring an unstoppable strike in training.
The 21-year-old, who has not been called up to the Three Lions’ senior squad, staked a claim to be in Gareth Southgate’s squad to face Scotland and Spain in their forthcoming international fixtures after leaving goalkeeper Tom Heaton helpless with a sweetly struck effort that caressed the top corner.
Chalobah, who has 33 caps for the England Under-21 side, has provided one assist in five first-team appearances in all competitions for Premier League side Chelsea so far this season.
The Sierra Leone-born midfielder, who has endured loan spells at Nottingham Forest, Watford, Reading, Middlesbrough, Burnley and Napoli respectively during his time at Stamford Bridge, is in Aidy Boothroyd’s 23-man squad for the Under-21 side’s upcoming games against Italy and France.
