Video: Wenger’s hilarious dismissal was better than Mourinho’s sending off

It is fair to say that Jose Mourinho is going through a rough patch.

The Manchester United manager was left furious at the fact referee Jon Moss showed midfielder Paul Pogba a yellow card for diving, before watching his side fall to a frustrating 1-1 home draw against West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

The ‘Special One’s’ reaction, which included aggressively booting a water bottle down the touchline, saw the 53-year-old sent to the stands after just 27 minutes played at The Theatre of Dreams.

However, yesterday’s antics don’t come close to Arsene Wenger’s dismissal at the same ground back on August 30, 2009.

As if it wasn’t comical enough to see the Arsenal boss also sent to the stands for kicking a bottle during his side’s 2-1 defeat to United, Scotland manager Gordon Strachan’s follow-up narration of events on BBC‘s Match of the Day 2 certainly cranked up the comedy value in this video.

Bravo Gordon! Bravo.
