Aston Villa are reportedly lining up a sensational swoop for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe.
The Premier League club are understood to be interested in their West Midland rivals’ prized asset, despite the forward only arriving at Molineux from Arsenal back in January.
Afobe, an England Under-21 international, was the country’s top goalscorer last season with 32 goals in all competitions at both Milton Keynes Dons (loan) and Wolves.
After already netting two goals in as many games this campaign for Kenny Jackett’s side, Clarets boss Tim Sherwood is eyeing a move for the former Gunner using the £32.5m transfer fee the club received from offloading Christian Benteke to Liverpool earlier this summer.
