Walsall are reportedly interested in appointing Mansfield’s Adam Murray as their new boss.

The Saddlers are on the lookout for a new manager after Dean Smith left to take over at Championship side Brentford on Monday.

Murray, who is the Stags’ player-manager, is approaching a year in charge at Field Mill now but has impressed since stepping into the dugout.

Town are currently seventh in the fourth-tier, while Walsall are fourth in League One.
