Manchester City have been nominated to take on the latest internet craze, the #MannequinChallenge.
The Premier League side, who stumbled to a 1-1 home draw against newly promoted Middlesbrough last weekend in the English top-flight, have been dared by Australian A-League outfit Melbourne City to take to Twitter and post their best effort, another football club owned under the City Football Group, as well as Major League Soccer side New York City FC.

Pep Guardiola’s men; who currently sit third in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of league leaders Liverpool after their opening 11 fixtures, could respond swiftly with their own attempt, though with the international break lasting for another few days, many global stars would be absent from the Etihad Stadium – such as Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and John Stones.
However, the Citizens have posted their own #MannequinChallenge already, with the Under-23 side starring whilst working out in the gym.
