Watford line up La Liga’s 20-year-old starlet as Odion Ighalo’s replacement

Watford are thought to be interested in signing Nigeria youth international Isaac Success this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who currently sit ninth in the standings respectively after their 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace last weekend, have lined up the Granada forward as their ideal replacement for star striker Odion Ighalo next term.

The 20-year-old, who is an international for the Nigerian Under-20 squad, has scored four goals and provided three assists in 22 league games for the La Liga outfit so far this season.

Success; who is predominantly a left winger, plays for Granada, who are also controlled by Watford’s owner Gino Pozzo.

The report suggests Quique Sanchez Flores’ side would ideally like to sign up Success on a pre-contract agreement.

Watford’s pursuit of the young forward has been ignited since the newly promoted Premier League fear they will lose top goalscorer Ighalo this summer, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all interested in the senior Nigeria international.
