Watford are reportedly keeping close tabs on England youth international Jerome Sinclair, according to The Telegraph.

The newly-promoted Premier League side, who lost 2-0 at Southampton on Wednesday night, are thought to be lining-up a surprise move for the highly-rated Liverpool teenage striker this month.

The 19-year-old, who is a former England Under-17 international, scored his first senior goal for the Reds during their 2-2 FA Cup draw at Exeter City last Friday.

Sinclair, whose contract at Anfield is due to expire this summer, will be offered a much quicker path into the first-team frame at Vicarage Road under Hornets boss Quique Sanchez Flores as they have little attacking cover for strikers Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo.

The former West Brom trainee became Liverpool’s youngest-ever player to have appeared for the first-team when he made a substitute appearance aged 16 years and six days back in September 2012.
