West Brom have reportedly joined West Ham United in the race to sign Italy international Mario Balotelli, according to Calciomercato.

The Premier League side, who drew 0-0 with Aston Villa on Saturday, have been linked with a January move for the Liverpool outcast according to the Italian publication.

The 25-year-old, who has 33 international caps for his country, has scored just one goal in six league appearances whilst on loan at former club AC Milan this season.

But with Balotelli set to cut short his unimpressive loan spell back in Serie A shortly, it is understood that Tony Pulis’ Baggies are also ready to take a gamble on the Liverpool flop, who cost the Reds £16m back in August 2014.
