West Brom in pole position for ex-Wolves winger

21 April 2014 - Sky Bet League One - Leyton Orient v Wolverhampton Wanderers - Bakary Sako of Wolverhampton delivers the corner.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly favourites to land former Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako.

The Mali international is a free agent this summer after leaving Molineux once his contract at the Championship club expired at the end of last season.

Sako, who joined Wolves from French outfit Saint-Etienne back in 2012, scored 15 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Kenny Jackett’s side last season.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis is in the market for another forward after seemingly being priced out of a move for Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips, meanwhile new summer signing James McClean has already come underfire at the Hawthorns after deciding to turn his back to the British national anthem during a pre-season tie.
