West Brom have joined Spurs in the race for Lucas Alario.

According to a report on talkSPORT the River Plate striker has attracted the attention of Tony Pulis as he seeks a solution to his side’s striking problems.

Alario has scored 12 goals in 21 matches this season and has a £15.5m get out clause in his contract.

The 24-year-old is in his third season with River Plate and is also believed to be a target for Lazio and Paris St Germain.

West Brom have been looking far and wide to find a striker to supplement the goals of Salomon Rondon.

Troy Deeney of Watford has been strongly linked with a move back to the midlands but Pulis is keen to look for value elsewhere in the transfer market.

While there are bigger names in the market for Alario the fact that West Brom are now an established Premier League side could persuade the striker to move to West Brom as his first step into Europe.
