West Brom are reportedly preparing a last-ditch move for Queens Park Rangers forward Matt Phillips.

The Premier League outfit have been unable to agree a fee for the Scotland international, with Championship side QPR hopeful of keeping the winger at Loftus Road beyond tomorrow’s 6pm deadline.

The 24-year-old, who is a former England Under-20 international, scored three goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for Chris Ramsey’s side last season as the club suffered relegation from the English top flight.

With the futures of fellow forwards Saido Berahino, Victor Anichebe and Brown Ideye all in doubt ahead of Tuesday’s deadline; Baggies boss Tony Pulis is desperate to bolster his attacking options to ensure West Brom aren’t left short-changed before the close of the transfer window.

The Baggies have also been linked with moves for Nottingham Forest attacker Michail Antonio, Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall and Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique within the next 24 hours.
