West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in Davide Santon.
According to a report in the Croydon Advertiser both clubs have expressed an interest in the highly versatile Inter Milan defender.
Santon was on the fringes of the Inter team in the season just finished and is out of contract in 12 months time.
The 26-year-old spent three seasons with Newcastle United and could quickly adapt to returning to English football.
Although mainly used as a left-back Santon can fill in at any defensive position and has indicated that he’d be keen on a return to the Premier League.
With Palace currently without a manager West Ham could make an early move for the defender who has been watched extensively by Palace’s scouting team who are independent of the first team management.
Both London clubs are looking to strengthen their squad with Santon likely to be available for less than £5m.
