With Swansea’s win over already relegated Sunderland on Saturday keeping their survival hopes alive manager Paul Clement will be hoping that Premier League status will be enough to keep hold of his top players next season.
However, according to reports from The Mirror, he’ll have to put up a tough fight with both West Ham and Everton chasing a deal for star man Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The former Tottenham man, who has laid on more assists than any other player in the Premier League since the turn of the year, has been crucial to Clement’s plans since taking over but is likely to be taking up plenty of column inches over the coming months.
The £17m rated man could well be seen as a replacement for Ross Barkley at Goodison Park with the No.8’s future up in the air whilst in east London, despite adding Robert Snodgrass in January, the creative talents of Dimitri Payet are yet to be replaced.
