Speculation surrounding a manager’s future can never be helpful to a football club and there’s no denying there’s been a lot of speculation surrounding whether Slaven Bilic will be at West Ham United next season, which may go someway to accounting for why the wheels seem to have completely come of the Hammers campaign, with this weekend’s loss away at Hull City the fourth defeat on the spin for a side that not that long ago had won three out of four league games and seemed to finally be turning the corner.
Jaap Stam is one name that’s been linked with the job at London Stadium and if things continue there’s a chance Reading could be swapping places with West Ham next season as the East Londoners slipped down to 14th just six points clear of safety and currently in free fall. Something has got to change and for many West Ham fans, that change isn’t the players, it’s manager.
Here’s how West Ham fans reacted after the 2-1 loss to Hull City this weekend:
@TheSullis @whu647580 its a tough call but we looked clueless out there when they scored… I like Bilic but I don’t like the Championship.

Gets harder to defend Bilic every week

Payet started to leave WHU when was secured as selected for the Euro. Bilic is less than average since he lost the snake in March 2016

Yes Bilic has been done over by the board, but we can’t keep making excuses.
Simply not good enough.Stubborn &some decisions are ridiculous.— Soph (@SophWHU) April 1, 2017
@davidgold sack Bilic now before it’s too late, look what happened to Newcastle last year when they left it too late
