West Ham finished their largely frustrating Premier League campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Burnley on the final day.
Slaven Bilic’s men went into the concluding round of fixtures knowing that a top-half finish was almost impossible, and they fell behind at Turf Moor thanks to Sam Vokes’ 23rd minute striker.
However, goals either side of half time from Sofiane Feghouli and Andre Ayew secured the visitors their fifth away league win of the campaign, and indeed 11th place in the final Premier League table.
And it concludes what has been on the whole a unsatisfying and disappointing campaign for West Ham, which has seen them struggle to get to grips with their new home, the London Stadium, and lose star man Dimitri Payet in January.
And one man who has also been linked with a move away in recent times is Ayew, who arrived at the club last summer for £20.5 million, but managed just six Premier League goals in his first season in East London.
Reports suggest that the 27-year-old could seek a return to Marseille this summer, and it’s news which has stimulated quite a response from Hammers supporters on Twitter, with many not entirely fussed if Ayew were to leave the club…
Ship Ayew off to Marseille and get Ihenacho in.

@kaz7289 He’s done ok but I’m sure we could put the money to good use, I don’t think he would be a hard player to replace TBH
