West Ham move for Pickford

West Ham have tabled the first serious offer for Jordan Pickford.

According to a report in The Chronicle a deal valued at £25m will be put to Sunderland for their goalkeeper.

Sunderland rejected an offer in the region of £15m from Everton but will have to give some thought to the package from West Ham.

It’s believed that Hammers goalkeeper Adrian, valued at £7m, plus a fee of £17m will be put on the table for the Sunderland board to consider.

With no manager currently in place Sunderland may decide to cash in and take the offer in order to put together a fund for the next manager to build a promotion challenging side.

It’s believed that Sunderland are hoping to get £30m for the 23-year-old who emerged with credit from the season just ended despite Sunderland being relegated.

A number of clubs including Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton are looking for goalkeepers but it may be into the new season before that movement starts.
