West Ham United have reportedly re-opened talks to sign free agent Joey Barton.
The former QPR and Marseille midfielder has been searching for a new club this summer after his release from the R’s, and was said to be in talks with officials from the Hammers last month.
However, discussions broke down when Irons fans protested against the possible move, although it appears those talks between the two parties have now been rekindled with Slaven Bilic still keen to strengthen his midfield before the transfer window closes.
Barton made 28 appearances as Rangers were relegated from the Premier League last term, scoring one goal.
