Mark Noble has responded to criticism from some fans by insisting those on his case don’t understand football, or his role within the West Ham United team, reports The Mirror.
The Hammers captain has bore the brunt of many fans frustration as his side have endured an inconsistent season which at one point threatened to turn into a relegation battle, rather than the push for Champions League football some fans believed Slaven Bilic’s side were capable of producing.
Noble said: “Football is a game of moments now and if someone does four step-overs, they’ve had an incredible game. That’s not something I do.”
West Ham’s cause hasn’t been helped this season by injuries to some key players, not to mention the Dimitri Payet saga which saw the French international fall out with the manager and many of the fans over his desire to move to Olympique Marseille.
Bilic’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend with a home clash against a rejuvenated Leicester City side following back to back losses in their last two games, including the recent 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth.
