West Ham United are reportedly ready to test their luck this summer in a bid to tempt Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure to their Olympic Stadium, according to the Brentwood Gazette.

The Premier League side, who currently sit fifth in the English top-flight standings respectively after their most recent 2-2 draw away at Stamford Bridge against defending champions Chelsea, are thought to be ready to test Manchester City’s resolve over their star midfielder with a £20m bid once the 2015-16 campaign has drawn to a close.

The 32-year-old, who has 100 international caps for his country, has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s men so far this season.

Toure, who arrived at the Etihad Stadium from La Liga giants FC Barcelona back in July 2010 in a deal worth a reported £24m, looks set to quit the Citizens this summer, with a number of top European clubs also chasing his signature.
