West Ham United have reportedly joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign England international striker Daniel Sturridge this summer, according to the Brentwood Gazette.

The Premier League side, who currently sit fifth in the English top-flight standings after drawing 2-2 against defending champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in their last outing, are interested in recruiting the Liverpool forward once the 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

The 26-year-old, who has 17 international caps for the Three Lions and featured for England against the Netherlands on Tuesday night, has scored seven goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for the Reds so far this season.

Sturridge, who arrived at Anfield from Premier League rivals Chelsea back in January 2013 in a deal worth £12m, has been linked with a £45m move from runaway Ligue 1 champions PSG this summer.

However the report now suggests that Slaven Bilic’s Hammers are interested in luring the Liverpool ace to their new Olympic Stadium after the UEFA European Championships in France later this year.
