West Ham United target Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly set to be offered a new deal at Lyon, according to the club’s president, via the Daily Mirror.

The Premier League side, who currently sit 17th in the English top-flight standings following Sunday’s 2-0 away defeat to Everton at Goodison Park, have been continually linked with a move for the France international forward during previous transfer windows.

The 25-year-old, who has 10 international caps for his country, has scored nine goals in nine appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season.

Lacazette, who has been with the French side since 2003, is understood to be wanted by Hammers boss Slaven Bilic to solve his side’s struggle in front of goal, with West Ham managing to net just 10 times in their opening 10 league fixtures.

However, Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas said, “I would like for us to be able to extend Alexandre’s contract.”
