Kouyate enjoyed a successful international break with Senegal, producing solid performances in both of the matches he played for the African outfit.
He and his team faced Madagascar in their two-legged play-off tie to reach the group stages for 2018 World Cup qualification, drawing 2-2 draw in the opening fixture.
However, the 25-year-old then opened the scoring in the second-leg as Senegal came out on top, winning 3-0 on the day and 5-2 on aggregate.
The Hammers will be hoping Kouyate’s goalscoring form continues so he can add to his three Premier League goals this weekend.
