The future of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez took another twist this week following the Chilean’s comments when away on international duty.
The 28-year-old has scored 18 goals and laid on nine assists in 27 Premier League appearances this season, but has yet to agree a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, and with his current one set to expire in the summer of 2018, it has led to speculation that he may leave the club this summer.
And the comments he made to Chilean outlet El Grafico further underline the uncertainty surrounding his situation in North London.
He said: ‘I am happy in London and I hope to finish my contract here.
‘I want to stay in this city but in a team that is winning and that has a winning mentality.’
These comments have aroused further speculation that Sanchez is eyeing up a move to Premier League leaders Chelsea, although Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger light-heartedly played down Sanchez’s remarks, stating ‘there’s only one club in London’.
However, it’s not just Chelsea fans who have reacted to what Sanchez said earlier in the week, Crystal Palace supporters have as well, with some seemingly hopeful that the 28-year-old could end up at Selhurst Park this summer…

And some light-heartedly questioned whether Sanchez would be happy behind the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend in the Eagles pecking order…
