For some unknown reason there’s something so appealing about watching a left-footed footballer. 

Maybe it’s because there’s more right-footed professionals that makes a wand of a left foot more beautiful to the naked eye.

Since the start of the Premier League in 1992, there have been some sensational left-footed players to have graced the division.

But from this group of elite platers, who scored the most goals with their favoured foot?

Here we reveal the stars to have scored the most left-footed goals in Premier League history.

5. Romelu Lukaku – 57

Now in Italy with Inter Milan, Romelu Lukaku had a prolific time in the Premier League with West Brom, Everton and Manchester United. A member of the 100-club with 113 top-flight goals, the Belgian scored 57 of those with his trusty left-foot.

4. Mo Salah – 58

The only player on this list to still be active within the Premier League is Liverpool superstar Mo Salah. Despite having played just 113 times in England’s top-flight, the Egyptian has hit the back of the net 72 times. From Salah’s superb goal portfolio, 58 of those came from the swing of his left foot.

3. Ryan Giggs – 83

A Manchester United and footballing legend, Ryan Giggs lifted the title a record 13 times as he played the whole of his professional career at Old Trafford. In that time he made 632 Premier League appearances, scoring 109 goals – 83 from that valuable left foot.

2. Robin van Persie – 94

Another player to have scored goals at Manchester United is Robin van Persie. The Dutchman registered 96 of his 144 Premier League goals in his eight-year spell with Arsenal. After controversially moving to Old Trafford in 2012, RVP added an additional 48 top-flight strikes and won his only Premier League title. Overall, 85 of those goals came from his lethal left boot.

1. Robbie Fowler – 105

Now to the player who has scored the most left-footed goals in Premier League history – Robbie Fowler. Most known for his spells with Liverpool, ‘God’, as he was nicknamed by the Kop, also played for Leeds United, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers. In his 14 full seasons in the top-flight the ex-England striker scored 163 goals of which a record 105 came with his left foot.
