Who are Tottenham Hotspur’s top-5 highest paid players?

Increasing money from TV companies, sponsorship has come rushing in to the Premier League over the last decade or so. This had lead to a steep rise in player wages.

Season after season it seems to get higher and higher and there really sees no sign of that slowing.

Tottenham have the sixth highest wage-bill in the Premier League behind Manchester City, Manchester United,Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea but who are Spurs’ top-paid players?

Here’s the top-5 highest earners at Tottenham (all numbers according to spotrac).

5. Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli & Jan Vertonghen – £100,000 per-week

We have actually named Spurs’ top six players, as three of their top five earn the same wage. Goalkeeper Hugo Llors, midfielder Dele Alli and defender Jan Vertonghen all earn £100,000 a week from their club. It’s fair to say all three players have played an integral part un the team during recent seasons, and have been a big reason behind Spur’s rise to a Champions League finalist regulars and even finalists!

3 – Heung-min Son – £140,000 per-week

One of the most likeable players at Spurs and maybe even in the Premier League as a whole! Son runs and runs on the football pitch and certainly earns his £140,000 a-week salary. Always seems to be creating and scoring goals no matter what position he is asked to play. The South Korean superstar, is loved by Spurs fans and is clearly a major hit with new boss Jose Murinho.

1. Tanguy Ndombele – £200,000 per-week

Similar to the 5th position, there are also two players who share the highest salary at Tottenham. One of those players is summer signing Ndomble. The midfielder has been unlucky with injuries this season and only able to show glimpses of his clear talent. Signing from Lyon for a deal in the region of £55million, there has been a lot of pressure on the midfielder to perform, especially from manager Mourinho, who has openly criticised the France international on one or two occasions.

1. Harry Kane – £200,000 per-week

Goals, goals, goals. And more goals and more goals. Harry Kane is Tottenham Hotpsur. Or, ‘one of our own’ as the Spurs fans love to sign on a regular basis. It’s a face that Kane could earn a lot more of a salary at one of Europe’s major clubs, but for the time being, he is more than happy banging in the goals for Spurs. An injury hit season meant he hasn’t hit is usual high numbers, but you can guarantee he’ll be back to his goalscoring ways when football returns.
