Harry Kane is in the midst of a transfer storm amid speculation about Manchester United’s willingness to offer the England international a £150,000-a-week contract.

Kane has been on fire since breaking into the Tottenham first team in November 2014, scoring 51 goals in 79 premier league games. His exploits have seen him nail down a starting role with England, and his rise to stardom has not gone unnoticed by potential suitors.

Manchester United bosses view Kane as the long-term successor to Ibrahimovic and Rooney, and will look to tempt the 23 year old with a lucrative offer.

Tottenham will be desperate to tie their man down to another long-term deal, improving terms on the current £60,000-a-week he earns at the North London club, but are unlikely to match what Manchester United can offer.

The England forward has a decision to make, stay at his boyhood club or join one of the biggest clubs in world football. Here are THREE reasons why Kane should sign with Tottenham over a Manchester United move whatever the price.

Spurs are on the up

Tottenham have just recorded their highest league finish in the Premier League era and seem to have finally found a manager for the long term.

In Maurico Pochetinno they have one of the highest rated managerial talents in world football, with his work receiving pretty much universal acclaim across the footballing world.

The Argentine is clearly building something special at White Hart Lane, with one of the lowest average ages of any starting XI in the league.

With a brand new stadium on the horizon the future looks bright for Tottenham, the next stage is winning trophies and Kane is a key part of that.

He’s undeniably the main man at Tottenham and he’s clearly settled in the side. Even with Tottenham’s slow start to the season in front of goal he has helped himself to an impressive 5 goals in 7 Premier League games.

Kane, the Premier League Golden Boot winner last term, is perfectly settled in this Spurs side, and on a personal level is at the top of his game, his target should now be to stay in North London while pushing the side on to greater things.

Kane has spoken about a career target of reaching Alan Shearer’s 260 premier league goals, moving to Manchester United could risk this. Having to settle in a new side with a potential world-record transfer fee hanging over his head could prove troublesome for the England man.

He would be leaving his boyhood team

We’ve all dreamt of doing it before, scoring goals for your team against their biggest rivals, for Harry Kane, that is the reality.

Kane has 18 goals in 22 premier league London derbies, a goals to game ratio of 0.82, which is the highest of any player to have played 10 or more derbies, surpassing Thierry Henry.

He’s clearly the man for the big occasion, and regularly talks about how much he loves playing for his boyhood team, so would he really leave them this early into his career?
