Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is rumoured to be interested in making a move for English winger Ademola Lookman this January.

Lookman has been in scintillating form for Charlton so far this season, scoring six goals in 20 appearances. This follows an impressive breakthrough campaign in the 2015-16 season in which he showcased his undeniable talent.

The 19-year-old is now playing with a consistency that is unusual for someone so young, regularly causing trouble for League One defences.

His stellar performances have not gone unnoticed by English football’s giants, with a move to one of the big boys now seeming inevitable.

Liverpool are a team who scour the lower leagues for promising up-and-coming talent, and, having painfully missed out on Dele Alli The Reds will be desperate to seal the deal for Lookman.

Jurgen Klopp is building a team at Liverpool who look set to compete at the top for some time. Their high-intensity style demands players with large amounts of energy and enthusiasm, characteristics that Lookman matches.

However, Lookman has also attracted interest from a host of other teams. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are rumoured to have taken an interest, which could result in a tug-of-war transfer battle between the two sides.

With Lookman’s long-term future still yet to be decided, here are THREE reasons why he should choose Liverpool over Arsenal this January.

He will get to work with a top coach

There can be no doubt about Jurgen Klopp’s ability as a coach. The two-time Bundasliga winner performed heroics at Dortmund, and his impact just one year into his Liverpool reign has been nothing short of phenomenal.

His players love to work hard for him, as they know his methods produce results, both for the team and for players individually.

As a young player working under a coach such as Klopp would benefit Lookman greatly. He already has the pace, flair and finishing ability, with some more experience and the input of Klopp, Lookman could take his game to the next level.

Liverpool are on the up

Liverpool currently lie in 2nd place of the Premier League and look destined to be involved in the title race till the bitter end.

Lookman would be joining a team that is high in morale and playing with a real confidence about their game, this would help the 19-year-old to settle quicker should a move materialise.

The youngster would gain a lot of experience by competing in a title-race so early on in his career. Allowing him to see just how fine the line is between winning and losing, developing his mentality at the sharp-end of English football.

Would be joining the most attacking outfit in the Premier League

Liverpool are a side that love to attack, having hammered in a remarkable 30 goals in 12 Premier League games The Reds are flying right now.

This relentless approach suits Lookman, as if the move goes through he’d get more opportunities to score than if he played for a more pragmatic side.

Playmakers Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana are bound to lay on a hatful of chances for the young Englishman, giving him the opportunity to light up the Premier League should the move go through.
