Willian has revealed that fellow Brazil international Oscar has already said goodbye to his Chelsea team-mates ahead of his January exit, according to ESPN.

The Blues star is poised to put pen to paper on a surprise switch to Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIPG in the New Year, worth a reported £52m.

The 25-year-old, who has 48 international caps for his country, has provided one assist in 11 appearances in all competitions for Antonio Conte’s men so far this season.

Oscar, who arrived at Stamford Bridge back in August 2012 from Internacional, is set to become one of the world’s highest paid footballers – earning a reported £400,000-a-week in China.

Following Chelsea’s 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday, team-mate Willian revealed, “[Oscar] has already said goodbye.

“He’s a good friend and a great player. I wish him and his family all the best.

“A footballer’s career can be quick, and when an offer like this comes in you have to think of your family.”
