West Ham target Jack Wilshere suspects that he could be a victim of Arsenal’s plans to cut their squad.
According to a report in The Sun upto nine first team players could be axed after Arsene Wenger agreed to a new two year contract.
One of Wenger’s concerns is the size of the first team squad with Wilshere about to enter the final year of his deal at the Emirates.
The midfielders ability has never been in doubt but a major question mark hangs over his fitness with a fractured fibula bringing his season to a halt in April. Until that point Wilshere had been a regular in the Bournemouth side.
With a year left on his contract it’s unlikely that Wenger will be handing out a new contract opening the door to a move.
There has been interest from AC Milan and Barcelona in the past but a move across London would appeal ahead of the World Cup Finals in Russia.
