Wolves are in the hunt to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen

Wolves are in the hunt to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

The Mirror reported that several clubs are in for the forward, with Burnley and Real Betis having also made enquiries for the 24-year-old.

It is understood that the North London club want to sell Janssen before the transfer window shuts on Thursday and are looking for a reported £12million.

The Dutchman has had a tough time at Spurs, scoring just six goals in 39 appearances for the club across all competitions since he signed in 2016.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is looking for a backup striker.

But the ex-Twente striker has not played for the first-team since August 2017 after being loaned out to Fenerbahce and suffering from a serious foot injury that has seen him sidelined for most of the season.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is said to be looking for a back-up to Raul Jimenez and wants someone who can compete for the starting shirt.

Janssen has been building his fitness up recently, playing for Tottenham Under-23s and is looking for first-team Premier League football to get his career back on track.
