Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly both keeping close tabs on France youth international defender Boubacar Kamara, according to L’Equipe (via The Sun).

The Premier League rivals, who currently sit second and fourth in the English top-flight table after their opening 14 league fixtures respectively, are eager to add the highly-rated Marseille centre-back to their youth ranks ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.

The 17-year-old, who has featured five times for France’s Under-18 side, is understood to have been the subject of communication between City and the player’s family on FaceTime via an iPhone.

Despite yet to make his first-team debut for the Ligue 1 outfit, Kamara is widely regarded as one of France’s hottest prospects for the future and has already been offered a new deal by Marseille in a bid to ward off his Premier League admirers.

Citizens boss Pep Guardiola could look to lure the talented youngster to the Etihad Stadium come the new year, when the January transfer window opens.
