Arsenal are reportedly eyeing summer moves for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, and Southampton’s Victor Wanyama, according to the Daily Mirror.

Despite another disappointing season for the Gunners that could end trophy-less unless they win the Premier League – they currently trail the leaders Leicester by 11 points – Arsene Wenger is determined to stay on next term, but is planning a major shake-up of his squad.

If the Frenchman continues his role as manager, he is likely to want to bring in around four first-team player, which are said to include the midfield duo of Kroos and Wanyama.

With Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta set to depart the Emirates in the summer, and with continued fitness doubts over Jack Wilshere, the north London outfit want to strengthen in the middle of the park.

Kroos has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu and looks set to leave Real in the summer, while Wanyama, who has been sent off three times in the league this season, is also a long-term target for Arsenal after some strong performances in midfield for the Saints.
