Arsene Wenger has admitted that there is still no agreement between the club and either of Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil over any new contract at The Emirates.

The pair have both been at the centre of protracted speculation over their futures with both having just over a year left on their current deals.

However, whilst fans are desperate for the situation to be resolved, manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that they will be waiting until the end of the season.

Speaking in an interview with BeIN Sports, the Frenchman said:

“Look, at the moment we have not an agreement (with Sanchez). We have decided to focus on the end of the season and talk about it during the summer.

“It is the same situation with (Mesut) Ozil because in the situation, once you don’t find an agreement and it lasts it is not good so it’s better you get it out and sit down during the summer.”

His admission could well point to more than just the fact that they are having to wait on new deals for the star duo. The Gunners boss’ own future has been up in the air for some time, however he revealed after their loss to West Brom that he had made his mind up, and would tell the press soon.

Given that he is happy to wait on deals for the duo, the manager could well have let slip that he’ll still be in the hot seat come the summer.
