Middlesbrough leapfrogged Hull to go back to the top of the Championship, but they failed to collect all three points after being held 1-1 away by MK Dons.

The relegation-threatened Dons took an early lead courtesy of Dean Bowditch and appeared to be heading for a valuable win until a late goal earned Boro a point.

New signing Jordan Rhodes came off the bench to net his first goal for the club and lift Aitor Karanka’s side a point clear at the top. Karl Robinson’s boys jump one place to 20th, just three points above the relegation zone.
