None of Pardew’s central strikers have found the net in the Premier League this season

Palace and boss Alan Pardew is a successful marriage, as a team with an increasing reputation, full of flair players with no restraints, seem to keep pushing the Eagles higher and higher up the table.

With only two draws all season, they are either winning or losing, but, as they sit handsomely in sixth, the latter is becoming more and more of a rarity. Their summer business was exceptional, specifically the coup of France international Yohan Cabaye, and the South London side will be hoping of more of the same come January.

The one problem Palace have had this season is a lack cutting edge upfront, with the majority of the goals coming from creative their creative midfielders. Step forward the latest Belgian superstar, 22-year-old Michy Batshuayi, who is the ideal striker to be top of their wishlist. Even though a reported club-record will have to be spent to claw him from French side Marseille, Pardew won’t be put off after previous successful signings from the country during his time at Selhurst Park and spell with Newcastle.
